Responsibilities of the Junior Paediatric Cardiac Surgeon
1.Junior paediatric cardiac surgeon will help and facilitate the smooth running of the Pediatric Cardiac Services. 2.He / she would be responsible for evaluation, diagnosis, pre-operative care, surgery, post-operative care and follow-up of the patients. 3.He / She would be responsible to liaise with cardiology, anaesthesist, Intensivist (NICU/PICU/CICU) teams for shared care of all cardiac surgical patients. 4.He / She would be responsible for facilitation of execution of paediatric cardiac camps and international cardiac surgical activities. 5.To be available for emergncy patient care services required by the department. 6.To take additional responsibilities if need be as and when given by management to help in ethics, infection control committee, workers welfare committee, etc. 7.To liaise with blood blanks, infection control committee for best care of cardiac patients. 8.To take responsibility to coordinate with cardiologists, anaesthesist, intesivist, & fellow cardiac surgeons team to maintain the academic activity in the department. 9.To take responsibility for research activities, encourging the team members for the same. 10.To coordinate with all the members of the cardiac surgical programme to facilitate the smooth functioning of patient care services. |

You will participate in Department research activities. 11)You will participate actively in department promotional programs & events 12)You will support HOD in implementation of quality initiatives related to patient care safety.

Broad Job description:
•Obtains patients histories from past
records, patient interviews and by communicating with referring clinicians.
Prepares comprehensive interpretive reports of findings.
•Performs and interprets the outcomes
of diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays and ultrasound for neonates
in NICU & wards, adult patients especially for Gynecology & Obstetric
indications.
•Reviews and transmits images and information
using picture archiving and communications systems.
•Communicates examination results and
diagnostic information to referring physicians, patients and families.
•Compiling written reports of results
and diagnoses.
•Following medical protocols for
resuscitation, bleeding, infection or any other emergency situation as
necessary
•Implements protocols in related to
infection control as per hospital policies.
•Develops and monitors procedures to
ensure adequate quality control of images.
•Participates in
